Last week, I was invited to Neiman Marcus to attend a very exclusive Fashion Show by the iconic Carolina Herrera. I was amazed at the details that went into this event (I shouldn't have been b/c it was Neiman's ). We were treated like gold. We hung out with the models, stayed for lunch and saw the new collection both backstage and on the runway.
The highlight of my day was when the pr team invited me to come and meet Ms. Herrera herself. We chatted about work, about why I live in DE, and had one of those conversations you have with your girlfriends "You look beautiful." "no YOU look beautiful." "No, you ..." I was pleased to have such a sweet conversation with such a major fashion icon.
Cannot believe that this is my job.

Today, is a big day.
I'm actually a little bit nervous and excited to share this with you. Months ago I was invited to CA to be a part of the new 31 Bits "Born an Original" campaign, and today it's live!! I have been having such a nice month sharing all of these projects with all of you- so I hope you'll check it out today at 31 Bits.com !
Below a little sneak peek. An illustration I did inspired by the shoot, and some photos featuring some limited edition pieces from the collection.
During this project I not only got to play in beautiful handmade jewelry, but I also got to meet some of the sweetest people I have ever worked with. I included all of their links below b/c I love them all so much- and I think you will too.

Another one of this weeks highlights was being featured on Serena and Lily. I want to thank Serena and Lily for not only including me on their website as one of their featured Stye Guru's, but giving me the opportunity to be on the same page as so many of my favorite people in this industry. In the past few months my career has changed greatly. My job has taken me to new places, brought on new challenges and has introduced me to so many new people - even some new friends. My job has changed from Fashion illustrator, to fashion illustrator/ Style Expert, to Fashion Illustrator/ Style Expert/ Correspondent, and the titles continue to evolve weekly. I know so many of you have been following on twitter and instagram because I love reading all of your notes while I am traveling. Your encouragements have become such a support system throughout this journey.
Today, I'm thankful for everything that has been happening in my life. And I am equally to have you all experiencing it along with me. I can't wait to see what is next and to share it with everyone as more exciting, and sometimes frightening, changes take place.
Hope you have a moment spend some time with the people who make you the happiest today.

Fun news! My new illustration for Jack Rogers debuts today! I love when companies let me get in the spirit. I am always so happy to work with them and she is my favorite drawing for them yet! You will be able to see her on all of their social media sites.

I am so thrilled to be featured on one of my favorite go-to sites, Glitter Guide this week. So happy in fact, that we are giving away an original illustration!!! HUGE!
Taylor called me to be a part of this a few weeks ago and I couldn't be more excited to share a more personal side of me with you. Laura Novak took the photos here in my townhome early one Sunday morning- (I know you caught some behind the scenes on instagram, @dallasshaw) - and I am so excited to see the shots live on Glitter Guide today. The photos below are a few faves and some that Laura snapped that you can only see here.
So...the giveaway. It's actually kind of a big deal. I don't give away any of the illustrations b/c of their value ($1,000+). They are all originals and I like to try to stay true to my clients (dkny, chanel, ralph lauren, kate spade, jack rogers...) but we decided that my readers and followers are some of the most stylish women in the world, so they- you- deserve one too!
